Time continues to race by as our youngest is already 6 months old! He had his well child check and is doing well, measuring 29 inches long (greater than 95%) and weighs 19 lbs.
We introduced him to oatmeal and cheerios, but he isn't a big fan of either. We have let him taste a little watermelon and he loved it (no surprise given that was what I lived off of when I was pregnant with him :)
He doesn't seem that interested in food in general, so we're not really pushing it for now. He does sit in his high chair during meal times, but mostly just plays wtih stacking cups and baby spoons.
Corben enjoys spending time with his siblings and wants to do whatever they're doing. He has no problem telling you what he wants, making little grunting noises til you hand him whatever object he had in mind (often something not appropriate for his age, like magazines).
Corben is easy going, except when it comes to naptime/sleep time. He use to go to bed on his own, in his own crib. A couple of months ago he was extra fussy so I gave him and would nurse him to sleep, and now that is the only way he wants to sleep, being cuddled. The good part is it forces either Jason or myself to get some down time, but since we can't always stop what we're doing to cuddle him to sleep, sometimes he is just carried in the Ergo until he eventually falls asleep.
Corben is an early riser! He is consistently awake by 7:30 AM (unless I stay in bed longer, then he can sleep til past 8:30 AM). He can stay awake an hour but then is ready to nap by 9AM. He takes another nap around noon and another around 3 and 6 PM. His naps last anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours, depending on whether he is interrupted or not (ie. he'll fall asleep while in the car, then is woken up to get out and drop off his siblings).
