Calem is 2 years old!!!
He has started to show interest in potty training. One episode he took off his diaper and tried to sit on Clara'a potty, but I didn't realize he was serious, and put him down back on the changing station, and he ended up peeing on everything (should have left him on the potty!) the other sign is that he takes off all his clothes if he has soiled his diaper and no one has cleaned it up. He even prefers to get underwear rather than diapers. We are not new to potty training though, and hesitate to undergo all that work of getting him out of diapers. He does seem determined though.
Calem has been trying to make more sounds to express what he wants. He can sound out the first part of the word, leaving the listener to try to guess what he would like. He continues to work closely with his speech therapist every week. His favorite word lately is "yeah."
He has taken an interest in the violin, probably because he sees his sister playing hers every night. He has his own cardboard violin that he practices on. He also enjoys reading (Pete the Cat while holding his Pete the Cat doll), drawing, building lego towers, and watching Pengu the Penguin. He is no longer nursing, instead, he is a little bit of screen time to watch some of his favorite Youtube videos, including Taylor Swift, Glee, and of course, Selena Gomez.
He finally had his 2 year check up and the doctor says he's in the 95th percentile for his height which means he may grow to be six feet tall someday according to the pediatricians prediction! His weight is in the 50th percentile.
