Calem finally walks!

Calem is 18 months old!!
Calem stood and walked today! It has been a concern, but our doctor continually reassured us that everything was fine and he's a late walker. He also loves to crawl up the stairs. He does have great fine motor movement--tries to use a toddler fork, can unscrew lids, and enjoys scribbling and turning pages to his favorite books (lately he's loves "Pete the Cat") and trying to put puzzles together. He can take his socks and shoes off, but hasn't quite figured out how to put them back on yet!
His appetite varies, many days he'll skip dinner (in favor of comfort nursing, which I'm not sure how we'll stop since he clearly has no interest in quitting anytime soon). He loves sweet foods (blue berries, watermelon, raspberries, etc) and Pirate's booty. He may not speak any words yet (aside from dada) but is able to make most of his needs and wants quite clear, especially which foods he wants.
He recently endured 3 days without airconditioning (due to losing our power in a big storm) and got very good at indicating he wanted to be in the basement (the coolest part of the house). He tags along with Clara to her violin lesson, and is frequently indicating he wants to play it as well (but we worry about him being a little too rough with the instrument) so we're thinking of getting him a cardboard version to play with. He loves to "dance" (swing his arms around his head and bob his head), so we're hoping he enjoys the Recess Monkey's concert we're heading to in a few weeks.
